The Cheadle Civic Society would like to place on record its appreciation to all the people who have donated photographs of Cheadle over the years.

The combined collection of all these individual pictures helps to present an image of Cheadle life and scenery from the past 150 years or so and it is hoped this will give future generations a better understanding of how the village has evolved during that time.

A special thanks to Cheadle historian Mrs Pat Seddon for her help in identifying many of the photographs and providing a considerable amount of background information.
